Just Some Dam Photos

On a recent trip to the Hoover Dam, I tried to create a fresh perspective on a famous location. Β All pictures were taken on an old iPhone.

  1. Looks like you’re productively turning out pretty good images with that camera, particularly I’m impressed with that blue sky… would rather see that for real vs. the grey one that it is here. I’ve taken a lot of snapshots with the phone camera, which is so convenient for traveling light but I keep wanting an upgrade on the pocket camera to get a better zoom lens.

  2. Wow! You’re picture are too cool! Hope I’ll be this good some day. I’ve just started photography and I am enjoying it.. but I am not as professional as you are. Loved the colours, they are vivid! Please do drop by my photography blog and share your suggestions http://sukirthasphotography.wordpress.com/. That would be a nice way to learn.

      • Thank you Reception Chronicles for dropping by. Your style is very unique. Something, I am trying to learn. I think I don’t have any particular style. My photographs are random. πŸ™‚ Actually, they are literally random πŸ˜€

  3. Incredible. That must have been such an awe inspiring trip. Love the statue in the last picture. Reminds me of the Sith statues from Star Wars. πŸ™‚

    Congratulations on being freshly pressed.

  4. Hi! I painted this bridge across the sunset from a photo I saw in a magazine. I had forgotten exactly where the location was. I just painted it because it inspired me. Check out my blog. You are talented. Beautiful photography!

  5. I love your do-what-you-can-with-what-you’ve-got attitude! I feel the same way. I managed to score a nice camera, but have a lot to learn about how to use it. Here’s to practice, not perfection!

    All the best ~ Corey

  6. brilliant shots. The tunnel, was that one of the diversion tunnels during construction? It’s nice to see photos aother than those most folk take when they visit Hoover

  7. Dam great! Sensational photos, and congrats on the Fresh Press! I love them all, but the colours in the first are just magnificent. I think that’s my personal fave. And did I read that you took these with an old iPhone? Wow… that’s amazing!

  8. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage? My blog site is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my visitors would definitely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this okay with you. Thanks a lot!
